Celebrating Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month

  • The Case for Inclusion, disabilities, DSPs,
  • Advocacy

Every March, the National Association of Councils on Developmental Disabilities and its partners come together to lead Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month (DDAM). This annual campaign serves as a powerful reminder of the importance of inclusion and the significant contributions of individuals with developmental disabilities in our communities.

This year, under the theme "A World of Opportunities," DDAM emphasizes the collaborative efforts of people from all walks of life in removing barriers and fostering environments where everyone can succeed.

At Scioto Properties, we recognize the importance of creating inclusive communities where everyone has the opportunity to reach their full potential. DDAM serves as a reminder of our commitment to provide real estate solutions that support organizations dedicated to serving individuals with developmental disabilities.

Through our tailored services, we aim to facilitate finding or creating spaces where individuals with disabilities can live, learn, work, and play in environments that foster independence, dignity, and respect.

As we celebrate Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month, we reflect on the progress made and the work that still lies ahead in creating a world where every individual, regardless of ability, has the opportunity to thrive. We strive to continue to build inclusive communities that embrace diversity and champion the rights of all individuals.
