Scioto Properties has selected Lissette Rivera to be the Vice President of Government Affairs, joining our team on July 13, 2020.
Lissette brings with her over 20 years of experience in government affairs with a focus on insurance, Medicaid, as well as innovation issues. Lissette holds a Master of Public Affairs and Politics degree from the Edward J. Bloustein School at Rutgers University.
Lissette will be overseeing Scioto’s legislative strategy at the federal and state levels. This includes representing the company and leading efforts with regulatory agencies and trade associations. In this new position at Scioto, Lisette will communicate timely information about government policies and initiatives to Scioto customers and partners. She is committed to safeguarding sustainable business practices for both our customers and the specialized needs of the people they serve.
Lissette has served as a community leader receiving accolades from the city of Cleveland, Ohio, Charter One, JumpStart, and the Great Lakes Innovation and Development Enterprise. She has also been nationally recognized by PR News and Holmes Report for spearheading an enrollment campaign for NJ FamilyCare, the state’s free to low-cost health insurance program, adding over 10,000 women and children in under a year.
Scioto is excited to welcome Lissette and see her apply her experience and knowledge to support Scioto’s government relations initiatives to better serve our customers.
