PTSD Awareness Day

For over a decade, June 27th has been set aside as a day to advocate for those who may be suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Nearly 12 million adults in the U.S. suffer from PTSD during a given year, often developing as a result of a traumatic event.

These events occur when you believe your life or others' lives around you are in danger. These types of traumas are not uncommon and over half the U.S. population experiences at least one traumatic event in their lifetime.

Because of its prevalence, it is important to know the signs of PTSD so that you can help someone who may be suffering.
