Join us in celebrating the hard work and dedication of Direct Support Providers (DSPs) during Direct Support Professionals Week (September 11-17, 2022). DSPs are at the center of support for people with disabilities.

Since the early 20th century, many people with disabilities and chronic mental health conditions were not treated equally. While public policy began to shift in the mid-1900s, it was not until the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) was passed in 1990 that disability rights dramatically changed.

For many, each fourth of July holiday wraps up with a booming firework display that lights up the night sky with colors of red, white, and blue. While this tradition is exciting, there are some things you should keep in mind to ensure you and those around you all have a safe and fun day.
